Camera – 4BC01

 HOW OUR PRODUCTS WORK 

ALL CURV PRODUCTS WORK BY CONSTANTLY SCANNING FOR THE STRONGEST WI-FI SIGNAL. 

BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SET UP THE CURV PRODUCT, YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A STRONG ANG CONSTANT WI-FI. 

IF THAT SIGNAL WEAKENS OR DROPS OFF COMPLETELY, THEN THE CONNECTION CAN BE LOST. 

IF THIS DOES HAPPEN, IT WILL NEED TO BE RESET. TO RESET SIMPLY DELETE OFF THE APP AND THEN RE-ADD. 

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THE NEXT STAGE WOULD BE TO RESET THE INDIVIDUAL DEVICES, USING THEIR RESET BUTTONS. 

THE LOCATION OF THESE WILL ALSO BE SHOWN IN THE QUICK START GUIDES OF EACH PRODUCT.

OPENING THE CURV SMART APP

PREPARING YOUR WI-FI TO CONNECT

 Make sure you have a strong and stable Wi Fi connection. 

If your Wi-Fi connection is weak/unstable, you will need to move your move your doorbell and mobile phone closer to the router for initial set up. 

Your Wi Fi router will also need to be operating on 2.4 GHZ Band.

 PREPARING YOUR ROUTER TO CONNECT 

Smart products do not work on 5GHZ. If you are unable to swop to 2.4GHZ, you will need to ask your internet provider to split your router for you. This will allow you to use both 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ as shown below

 CAMERA RESET BUTTONS-4BC01 

To reset the CURV 4BC01, turn the camera over. 

The reset button is on the underside of the unit click the ON button (circled in blue) to OFF. 

Wait 10 seconds and the switch back to on. 

Then press the reset button (circled in red) and hold for 10 seconds then release. 

You should now be able to set up your camera from scratch.

 USING CURV SMART APP 

Open the Curv Smart application. 

Create an account. 

Log in when prompted

ADDING YOUR 4BC01 CAMERA

 Press the 'ADD DEVICE' button to begin the setup. 

Or if there is no button, choose the Add Device button, this can be found in the top right corner of the screen. 

The device is classed as a Smart Camera, select this option to continue.

 RESETTING YOUR 4BC01 CAMERA 

To reset the CURV 4BC01, turn the camera over. 

The reset button is on the underside of the unit click the ON button (circled in RED in Image 1) to OFF. 

Wait 10 seconds and the switch back to on. 

Then press the reset button (circled in red in image 2) and hold for 10 seconds then release. 

You should now be able to set up your camera from scratch.

 A blue light on the camera will flash to indicate pairing mode is enabled.

 SCANNING THE QR CODE 

A QR code will display on your screen. 

Angle the Smart Camera to face the QR Code. 

Hold the phone roughly 15 cm away from your Camera. 

The Camera will beep once the pairing has begun. 

The sound is like a bird tweet Press the I Heard A Prompt when you hear this beep and allow the device to configure.

COMPLETING THE PAIRING

 RENAMING THE 4BC01 

You will then see a pop up which gives you the option to rename your CURV-4BC01 

Type in the new device name in the space provided - shown circled in red, eg Front Porch. 

Once you have typed in the device name, press 'Save' to save the name and close the pop up.
