How to connect Smart Plug to Wi-Fi network 

  1. Download Curv Smart App from the App Store Or Google Play or scan the QR code and install the Curv Smart App for either iOS and Android.
  2. Once downloaded, the app will ask you to register your device.
  3. Enter your phone number or email. If you selected phone number, you will receive a text with a registration code. If you choose email, you will then create a password.

 

 

ADDING YOUR SMART PLUG

 · Once you have created an account and logged in. 

• Press the yellow' ADD DEVICE' button to begin setting up. 

• Your Smart Plug is classed as a socket - select this option to continue

 

Pairing Mode

  1.  If the light is blinking fast, skip the reset step
  2. First switch the power on.
  3. Hold the 'RESET' button for 5s (subject to user manual)
  4. Ensure the light is fast blinking.
  5. Then press the 'CONFIRM INDICATOR RAPIDLY BLINK bar at the bottom of the screen.

 

Pairing Your Device

Enter

• Enter your Wi-Fi details exactly as shown on your router, please note this is case sensitive. 

Place 

• Place your router, mobile phone and Curv Smart Plug as close as possible. 

Press 

• Then press' Confirm'

 

Pairing Countdown

This will open up a screen with a progress circle on it. 

Once the circle shown 100%, another screen will open to show the device has been added successfully. 

Press 'Done' to save.

 

Naming Your Plug

 • Open the app and go to the curv device. 

• Click on the pencil icon next to your device name. 

• This will open a pop-up box which will allow you to name your device. 

• Press 'Done' to save your changes.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES FOR ALL PLUGS/SOCKETS AND BREAKERS 

  • Additional Features are available in the device settings 'Context Menu'.
  • This includes renaming and removing devices.
  • The Context Menu can be accessed by clicking the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

 

REMOVING PLUGS, SOCKETS AND BREAKERS 

  • To remove a device from your app, click on the 'Context Menu' buttons in the top-right hand corner as before.
  • This will open the 'MORE' screen.
  • Scroll down to the bottom and click on the 'Delete Device' bar, shown circled in red

 

 

COMPLETING THE SHARING 

  • The Add Sharing' tab will open a screen which shows 'Account'
  • Add the new member's mobile number or email address next to the' Account Domain'.
  • Then press 'Done' to complete the process.

TO ADD A NEW MEMBER

  • Tap the 'Profile' option again
  • Then scroll down and tap' Share Device'  
  • Then tap' Add Sharing' at the bottom

 

COMPLETING THE SHARING 

  • The Add Sharing' tab will open a screen which shows 'Account'
  • Add the new member's mobile number or email address next to the 'Account Domain'.
  • Then press 'Done' to complete the process.

 

 

Device Grouping

Tap the 'Profile' option again. 

Please Note- 

  • You will need at least 2x PLUGS, SOCKETS OR BREAKERS to create a group.

 

CONFIRM CHOSEN DEVICES FOR THE GROUP

  • Then scroll down and tap' Create Group' option
  • Select the devices that you want to group then tap Confirm' at the bottom.
  • Enter the group name.
  • Once the group is named and the devices are selected, tap 'Save'

EDIT GROUPS

  • Tap the named group menu in the upper right hand corner (...)
  • Rename the group/remove a bulb from the group.
  • Press save in the upper right hand corner.
  • Select the group you want to delete.
  • Tap 'Dismiss Group' at bottom and TAP Confirm'
  • Finally tap 'OK' to confirm

 

 

Connecting to Alexa

LOGGING INTO ALEXA 

  • To log into your Alexa, tap the top left hand corner as shown.
  • This will open your Alexa menu.
  • Then tap Skills' to open the Skills Menu.

 

ALEXA SMART SKILLS 

  • Type' Curv Smart' in the search box and then scroll down the search results until you locate' Curv Smart'
  • If you are unable to locate the 'Curv Smart' Skills, you can also use either the 'Smart Life' Skills or the Universal' Tuya Smart' Skills.

 

 

 LINKING THE APP WITH THE SKILL 

  • Click on the Curv Smart app and it will open a bar that says 'Enable'.
  • Click on this to enable the Skill.
  • Then sign into your Curv Smart account.
  • Tap the Link Now' button.

 

 AUTHORISING ALEXA 

  • Tap' Authorise' to bind Curv Smart to Alexa.
  • Alexa will now be able to receive your public profile and control your devices over the internet.
  • You can withdraw permission for this at any time

 

COMPLETING PAIRING -' DISCOVERING' 

  • Once your Curv Smart account is successfully bound to Alexa, the screen will say Curv Smart' has been successfully linked' as shown.
  • Tap 'Done' in the top left-hand corner a shown
  • Close this window to 'discover' smart home devices you can control with Alexa.
  • .Curv Smart devices must be detected/discovered by Alexa before they can be used with Alexa.
