How to Setup your Project EV Car Charger for the first time
Step 1: Begin by installing the ‘Project EV’ application from the app store. This can be found on either of the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Once the app has finished installing open the Project EV app. You will need to create an account, this can be done by pressing the 'Sign Up' button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Locate the ‘Add’ button to pair the charger to your phone. You’ll be prompted to enter the chargers serial number, this is located on the side of the charger itself. Once entered press ‘Confirm’.
Step 4: Turn the unit off and then on again via the main power supply or via RCD, this is located behind the information plate of the charger. Leave the unit switched off for 15 seconds before starting it back up again.
Step 5: Navigate to the WiFi Settings on your phone, select the serial number which matches your charger.
Step 6: Connect to the charger using the default password 12345678, once connected please re open the Project EV app.
Step 7: Select the charger at the top of the screen. Then select the ‘WiFi’ symbol located in the top right corner.
Step 8: Next to the 'Refresh' button, it should show the serial number for your charger. Proceed by selecting 'Connected, Next'.
Step 9: You will be re directed to the settings menu, select 'Parameter Settings'. Locate the 'Wi-Fi Name' option and enter the login details located on your router. This needs to be exactly as displayed on your router as the settings are case sensitive.
Step 10: Repeat the same process again for your 'Wi-Fi Password'. This needs to be exactly as displayed on your router as the settings are case sensitive.
Step 11: Now we need to check that the 'Server URL' is correct, this needs to match the following, if it does not match please replace with the link shown: ws://charge.growatt.com:80/ocpp/ws
Step 12: Depending on which functions you would like your charger to have, you can change the mode via the 'Charging Model' option.
Step 13: Select the 'Execute' button in the top right corner to apply the changes made, allow up to 15 minutes for the charger to become available on the app.
